The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.
SASSA might be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regard to the high quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office focused on service the area regularly. The provider point created for intervention experiences a high inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it complicated to the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to help the servicing of all consumers and increase use of Social Assistance products and sassa services,” the agency said.
